Macao sees confidence, guidance in Xi’s report

Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region Ho Iat-seng on Sunday hailed Xi Jinping’s report at the opening session of the Communist Party of China’s 20th National Congress as having pointed out a clear direction for Macao in the successful practice of “one country, two systems” and greatly bolstered Macao residents’ confidence in the city’s development.

The central government, led by Xi Jinping, has always been solicitous about the well-being of Macao compatriots and Macao’s development, and launched many timely policies and measures for the city’s benefit, said Chief Executive of the Macao SAR Ho Iat-seng

Xi’s report has comprehensively summarized the CPC’s outstanding achievements and valuable experience over the years, and scientifically planned the goals, tasks and policies for the Party, as well as national development, for the next five years or beyond, Ho said.

The central government, led by Xi, has always been solicitous about the well-being of Macao compatriots and Macao’s development, and launched many timely policies and measures for the city’s benefit, he said. This has helped Macao to maintain good momentum for its long-term and stable development.

On behalf of the Macao SAR government and residents, Ho offered his congratulations on the successful convening of the CPC’s 20th National Congress and asked all sectors in Macao to study the spirit of Xi’s report.

He pledged the Macao government will continue to promote the successful practice of “one country, two systems” to make new contributions to the great national rejuvenation.
