SHANGHAI – Shanghai Disneyland reopened on Thursday, after more than three months of closure along with the metropolis' fight against a COVID-19 outbreak.
Also on Thursday, the National Health Commission said that the Chinese mainland registered eight locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Visitors are required to present negative results of nucleic acid testing taken within 72 hours, wear masks and undergo temperature screening before entering Shanghai Disneyland
Tickets for Shanghai Disneyland were available for purchase starting Wednesday, after the COVID-19 epidemic waned in the city.

According to the NHC, five of the eight new cases logged on Wednesday were in Jiangsu province, two in Guangdong province and one in Beijing.
The health authorities also identified 31 local asymptomatic carriers the same day in four provincial-level regions, including 13 in Anhui and nine in Jiangsu.

Sixty-five COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the mainland on Wednesday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients discharged to 219,980 on the Chinese mainland as of Wednesday.
Wednesday saw no new deaths from COVID-19, with the total death toll standing at 5,226.
